According to Singtao Daily and Yunnan’s website yunnan.cn, police in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, recently busted an extraordinary large child-trafficking ring, rescued 31 abducted children and captured 76 suspects. It took the police more than 190 days to crack the case, after travelling over 60,000 kilometres to and from 7 provinces and 10 cities.
The website says Kunming Railway Public Security Bureau had checked and inspected every station and all carriages. At the waiting rooms of railway stations, they arrested five suspects and rescued four abducted children, since they cracked a child-trafficking case last November.
The Bureau immediately set up a special team, while the Public Security Bureau included the case in China’s national special projects against child-abduction. At present, investigation of the case is still under way.
